If I found some parts a bit too preachy, I skimmed them. As a mother who screens everything her 12-year-old only child and daughter reads, I thought it was a truly intriguing book, and the illustrations are gorgeous. His books are not Biblical truths in any way, shape or form, but they are fun to read and force your imagination to consider life as it was for these Bible characters these many thousands of years ago. His nostalgia helped produce some of his best books. I am about half way through with this one and I'm really struggling. This is an intelligent, realistic book - no fantasy about it. No one can find her, but there are several ne'er-to-do-wells and government spies searching for her.
