Her reverence and respect for the individual is abundantly clear in the way she honors them as they go through their own process. The plot in the book was very fast-paced, almost to fast paced. I think she's a feminist.

The structure of this book is clever, and lifts the book beyond simple storytelling, but what drew me most were the characters and the setting. The time is 1946, before I was born, but Sherrard brought this era to life for me, as if I had been there....
