As others have stated so far this is an interesting and deep novel, one that drags you into its questionable and illusory narration through the use of the first person monologue. When I'm done, I have to wait for the next one. It almost killed my hopes of a good Punisher character/story. For example, regarding Sylvia's numerous cigarette burns the author stated "It was also about this time Sylvia began her career as a human ashtray. The three great loves of her life interweave as Olivia asks the question all of us wonders—just how much are we shaped by our own actions and what we inherit from our parents. They understood the importance of playing fundamentally sound baseball; of doing all the "little" things right in order to help the team win. Swallows migrate every year, nobody knew where they went, and then they suddenly returned. This book is so good, I can hardly put it down. This short story was written for pure adult fantasy entertainment.
